My badge is not working at the toll. What should I do?

If the machine gives you a ticket:

  • Take the ticket (you will need it to identify the entry lane when you pay)
  • At the exit, go to a manned lane or a lane for all payment methods with an intercom, which will be signalled with this logo
  • Show your ticket and your badge to record the transaction.

If you do not have a ticket, use the intercom to request assistance and follow their instructions.

If this happens several times and your badge is correctly positioned on the windscreen, you should probably request a replacement. In this case, request a replacement under the "Replace a defective badge" section in your subscriber area . Make sure that there is no specific message telling you that your subscription contract has been temporarily suspended in your subscriber area .

You can also replace your badge immediately in one of our Bip&Go agencies in France.

How can I exchange my badge that is no longer working?

You can ask for a replacement in the "Replace a defective badge" section of your subscriber area . How do I change the battery in my badge?

Badge replacements for a technical fault are covered by Bip&Go (not including return fees for the old badge). However, if the badge has been damaged, it will be charged at the current price.

How often do I need to change my badge?

The badge has an average lifespan of 7 years. As long as your badge is still being detected at the tolls, you can continue to use it. Otherwise, you may exchange it. See how to exchange my badge
