Missed Free-Flow Toll Detection Notification

What is free-flow tolling?

With free-flow tolling, traditional toll barriers disappear, eliminating the stops they require drivers to make along their journey. Instead, overhead gantries detect passing vehicles and calculate the toll based on the vehicle category and the distance travelled.

This system is currently in operation at the Boulay toll plaza (A4) and along the Paris–Normandy corridor (A13/A14).

What is the purpose of the notification?

The undetected passage notification for free-flow tolling is a service offered exclusively to Bip&Go customers. This service allows you to receive an email as early as the day after your journey if your toll tag was not correctly detected, for example if it was incorrectly positioned or defective.

To activate it:

1. Log in to your Subscriber Area.
2. In the Menu, go to My Information, then Alert Settings.
3. Enable the Free-Flow Undetected Passage Notification.

Then, if you have not already done so, remember to link your toll tag to your vehicle registration plate and validate the declaration on honour. The notification service will only be active once you have successfully completed a first journey using your toll tag.

In order to provide the « Free-Flow Undetected Passage Notification » service (notification of passage through Sanef Group free-flow toll plazas when a Bip&Go toll tag is not detected), the information collected is processed by Bip&Go in a computerized file. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 and the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify it, request its deletion, or exercise your right to restrict the processing of your data. The processing arrangements for the Free-Flow service, as well as the conditions for exercising these rights, are detailed in Article 4.6 of Bip&Go’s Privacy Policy available at: https://www.bipandgo.com/mentions-legales. If you believe that the responses provided to you are not satisfactory, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
