Each gantry is equipped with sensors and cameras that detect and identify vehicles using electronic badges attached to the windscreen. If the vehicle is not equipped with an electronic badge, cameras record the number plate of the vehicle so it can be billed later. Payment must then be made online via the motorway operator’s website.

The sensors on the gantries identify your vehicle class and apply the appropriate rate. Heavier vehicles are charged more, as they cause greater wear on the road than lighter vehicles. Some sections are more expensive, especially if they include a bridge or tunnel.
