Using the electronic toll payment badge in Italy

Questions

Electronic toll payment works the same way in Italy and in France. It uses the Telepass system, which is similar to the French liber-t system. Like in France, most Italian electronic toll gates are equipped with 30km/h reserved lanes. Telepass electronic toll payment reserved lanes are signalled with the telepass logo. You can also use mixed lanes with the mixed logos. There also motorways equipped with the Free Flow system (no toll barriers), indicated by these signs: mixed . The badge also works in certain car parks and on certain ferry services with the mixed logo.

To make this change, go to the “TRACK MY BADGES” section on the “MY BADGES” page. Then, select: “change for Spain, Portugal and Italy”.
