In Which Countries Does My Toll Badge Work? 

Heading off on holiday soon? After finding some car games to keep the kids entertained, getting ready to travel with your dog, filling up the tank, and planning the best route to avoid traffic jams, you might be wondering: "But actually, where does my toll badge work? Can I use it all the way to my destination?"

Thinking of Joining Bip&Go: What Toll Badges Are Valid in What Countries?

Bip&Go offers two types of international toll badges: the France, Spain and Portugal badge and the Europe badge, which also works in Italy alongside the other three countries.

Whether you choose the France, Spain and Portugal badge or the Europe badge with Italy included, you can select from several plans to suit your needs.

For Travel Within France:

-    "Pay As You Go" if you use the motorway occasionally, at €1.90 for each month you drive, and €0 for months you don’t, 
-    "Annual Plan" if you use the motorway regularly, at €16 per year, 
-    "Liber-t Holidays" if you’d like to use your holiday vouchers as payment. You pay nothing while you have voucher credit, then €2 per month you drive once your credit runs out.

Activation fees are €10 for the 3-country badge and €14 for the 4-country badge, payable once when you sign up for the "Pay As You Go" and "Annual Plan" subscriptions. 
For the "Liber-t Holidays" plan, activation is free for the 3-country badge and €4 for the Europe badge.

For Travel Outside France:

If you choose the France, Spain and Portugal badge and drive in Spain and/or Portugal, you pay an additional €2.50 per month in addition to your French subscription. 
If you opt for the Europe badge (including Italy) and drive in Spain, Portugal and/or Italy, you pay €2.50 for Spain and Portugal, and €2.50 for Italy. 
Regardless of your French subscription, if you travel frequently outside France, you can also choose the annual badge option, at €10 per year for use in Spain, Portugal or Italy.

Already a Bip&Go Customer? Wondering Where You Can Use Your Badge Outside France?

If you’re a professional, your toll badge is only valid in France and cannot be used in other countries.

If you’re a private individual, it’s easy to check where your badge is valid: 
-    Log in to your customer account for full details. 
-    Or check your badge directly:

If your toll badge does not have a Via-t logo, it is only valid within France. If you see a Via-t logo on it, your badge is valid in France, Spain and Portugal. 
If you have the Europe badge (white with a yellow holder), available since 11 July 2019, your badge is valid in four countries: France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. 
 

Want to Swap Your Current Badge for a Toll Badge Valid in France, Spain and Portugal?

Simply log in to your customer account, go to the "My Badges" section and click on "Switch to Spain and Portugal model". This exchange costs €12. 
Remember to return your old badge within 15 days, either at one of our 15 Bip&Go branches or by post. 
 

Want to Upgrade Your Badge to a Europe Toll Badge (Valid in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy)?

Again, just log in to your customer account, go to "My Badges" and click on "Switch to Spain, Portugal and Italy model". This exchange costs €16. 
Good news for those with the Premium Option: upgrading your current badge to a Europe badge is free! (Except for those who already have the Europe badge.)
